Many individuals believe that their calling in life is to work with children in order to help these young minds in their personal growth. While this is certainly commendable, it takes a lot of work to ensure that a teacher is prepared for all of the lessons needed in the education field.

Although it is important for individuals to take various courses to ensure that one is prepared in the childcare industry, a number of classes classes can be expensive, ultimately steering potential participants away. However, some companies are looking to ensure that childcare professionals receive the training they need in order to stay current on regulations.

WITC offers new administrative degree for those looking to make a personal change

Individuals who are looking to make a personal change in their life, such as enrolling in an advanced degree program, may be surprised to learn about all the options that are available to them.

Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College (WITC) will now be offering a two-year administrative professional associate's degree, which will be completely online this fall.

School officials said that this is a way to meet the high student demand for the program, while also working with nontraditional students' schedules, as some may have families or careers that they need to devote the majority of their time to.

"WITC received many requests from students to provide the program online," said Leslie Bleskachek, the school's academic dean. "This recognizes the need for full-time employees to have an option to enroll, even if they are working during the day and can’t attend day classes. A degree in this program can often be a stepping stone into higher levels within organizations after initial placement."

Long-term nurses can often offer tips for patients to relax, such as Dahn Yoga meditation practices, which can put the individual at ease. However, while it's important to have these skills on hand, it's crucial that a nurse has the education background in order to treat patients to the fullest.

Care2Learn Incorporated, a company that focuses in online training for healthcare professionals, announced a partnership with the American Association of Long Term Care Nursing (AALTCN) to develop four new online certificate programs for LTC nurses.

Among the available online certificates are director of nursing in LTC, licensed practical nurse in long-term care, registered nurse in long-term care and a nurse assessment program. This will allow these medical professionals to further their understanding of the field to better assist their patients.

"With the input of long-term care nurses nationwide, AALTCN has developed highly respected certification programs that help to define the unique competencies and responsibilities of various LTC nursing positions and contribute to the advancement of LTC nursing practice," said AALTCN's executive director Charlotte Eliopoulos.

Personal development may take more than positive thoughts

In order to let go, many people turn to relaxation techniques such as Dahn Yoga brain wave vibration in order to feel at peace. While having a positive attitude is healthy, a recent study suggests that some people may need more than just good thoughts in order to succeed.

Research that was published in Psychological Science, a journal from the Association of Psychological Science, reports that people who believe that they're prepared for a test typically have the opposite effect when they actually take the exam.

The scientists wrote that the test taker develops a false sense of security beforehand because he or she believes that they already have all of the answers. However, for those who may feel that they're alone in this mistake are actually wrong. Nate Kornell, a psychologist from Williams College, said that in most situations, people who predict that they will do well on a quiz often perform poorly.

"There is a disconnect among beliefs, judgments and actual memory," Kornell explains. He added that this simply means that people should study longer than they believe they have to.

Relaxation techniques are important for those who need to study, as they may be able to focus more on the information when they have a clear mind.
