Hello Master Hanaye,

Thank you for the 21-day program! I hesitated to commit at first…there has been a block within me to plan, setting goals for what feels like forever… I did not want to be tied down to having to do something every single day, mostly because of the guilt that would for sure be waiting to pounce on me the first day I didn’t get it done. And yet somehow inside I understood that without planning, nothing in my life could change…so I said yes to the program. (with what feels like so much going wrong in my life that was one small thing I could do to shift) Turns out what felt like a small thing has shifted everything! Yummy changes are happening in all areas of my life!!! My attitude is bright, new positive amazing people are coming into my life, I am healthier and growing stronger…. it is the best feeling ever!

After completing the 21 days I will say that my focus is not on guilt for the 21 days I missed but on all that I received from completing… My body is more open, flexible, alive and moving more fluidly. I can feel that my body went/is going through a detox. My energy field is being cleaned of toxic, stagnant negative blockages, as is my mind, as well as is my physical body (which has lost nearly 10 lbs in the process) I can now feel in my body, mind and spirit the benefit of creating a plan, staying committed daily (rather than looking at everything that has to be done all at once and being overwhelmed) taking it one moment, one day at a time kept me able to be joyful about coming back and participating the next day. In fact, it has gotten to the point that that and class is the highlight of every day! Sign me up for another 21 days…it is way worth it!

Thank you for your beautiful, warm, loving support!

Though it was founded in the 1980s, Dahn Yoga's basic precepts and techniques are directly descended from methods practiced five millennia ago in East Asia. These precepts include the importance of the mind's partnership with the body, as well as the need for a balanced bond between the two.

Today, thousands of Americans practice Dahn Yoga everyday, many of whom are delightedly trying it for the first time. Taking a little time out of one's day to stretch, breathe, pose and meditate with a gentle smile on one's face can radically change one's mood and outlook.

This blog offers responses to news items that prominently feature Dahn Yoga and its neighborhood centers.
