It Is the Humans Who Have to Do the Work

Can we create this new road, the road that the Creator surely would want us to take? The road we are on right now will ultimately lead us to ruination.

Looking back on our various traditions and history, we know that, although the Creator has given us life. He has also given us free will. The Creator has given us the power to utilize nature for our benefits but has not actively stopped our abuses, giving us choice in our actions. The world’s problems lie not in the realm of the Creator, but in the realm of humans. Ilchi Lee recommends if humanity should perish due to our misjudgments and arrogance, the Creator will watch and observe but will not actively intervene, for He has given us all the tools necessary to make corrections. It is up to us to do the work. The Creator is not here so that we may shift our responsibility over. We have to take responsibility as individuals, as a society, and as a world.

We can no longer be satisfied with praying alone. The Creator gives us a message but will not take the leading role in changing this world. No lightning bolts will fly out of the blue and strike down all the mass murderers in the world as examples of punishment to all evildoers. No wars will stop because an image of Jesus, made up of clouds, will look down upon a battlefield. It is up to us humans. We can make ourselves miserable or happy. We can destroy or save this Earth. Do not make the mistake of thinking that the Creator will save this world at the last moment.

Though it was founded in the 1980s, Dahn Yoga's basic precepts and techniques are directly descended from methods practiced five millennia ago in East Asia. These precepts include the importance of the mind's partnership with the body, as well as the need for a balanced bond between the two.

Today, thousands of Americans practice Dahn Yoga everyday, many of whom are delightedly trying it for the first time. Taking a little time out of one's day to stretch, breathe, pose and meditate with a gentle smile on one's face can radically change one's mood and outlook.

This blog offers responses to news items that prominently feature Dahn Yoga and its neighborhood centers.
