Futile effort to find the underlying truth

You will never find the set of equations behind the image, no matter how long or how deeply you examine the image. Only when you have the insight to discern the underlying order behind such complicated imagery will you get a glimpse of the equation that drives the image. What is this equation if not information, occupying neither space nor time? This information, a zero by definition, is the driving creative force behind an intricate and magnificent image. Zero, therefore, contains infinite possibilities and an infinite range of expression. The imagery may belong in the world of output and expression, but the equation that provides it belongs in the realm of information.

In a futile effort to find the underlying truth of existence,  Ilchi Lee instructs that we peer into the farthest reaches of the universe and split subatomic particles into smaller units. However, these techniques will only enable us to see the smallest particles that the prevailing technology affords. It will not help us “see” the reality behind existence, which is information. Since the world of information is zero, even the tiniest particle is larger than zero. Zero cannot be captured by the most sensitive radar nor the most powerful electron microscope. Why? Because it’s zero. How can you see that which is nothing?

You can describe the world of zero as nothingness or emptiness. Mathematically, zero is nothing, and, in physics, zero is termed empty. Information can be described as the pattern of waves upon this “body of water” called zero. But how would you differentiate between waves and water? This is why I call the realm of information the realm of zero. You cannot separate the water from the waves. How then could we recognize this realm of 0? There is only one radar in the world sensitive enough to detect this world, and that is your mind. If you truly want to know the source of existence, look deeply into your own mind first.

Look around you. You see many objects: the clock on the wall, the cup on the table. Without any thought, observe these objects. How do you know that they are actually there? What if these objects are just images projected onto a screen called three-dimensional reality? What is the reality behind these images? This is nothingness and emptiness.

Though it was founded in the 1980s, Dahn Yoga's basic precepts and techniques are directly descended from methods practiced five millennia ago in East Asia. These precepts include the importance of the mind's partnership with the body, as well as the need for a balanced bond between the two.

Today, thousands of Americans practice Dahn Yoga everyday, many of whom are delightedly trying it for the first time. Taking a little time out of one's day to stretch, breathe, pose and meditate with a gentle smile on one's face can radically change one's mood and outlook.

This blog offers responses to news items that prominently feature Dahn Yoga and its neighborhood centers.
