Where Dahn Yoga practitioners share their experiences
An extract from Ilchi Lee‘s famous book. The loss of our natural creativity and our over-reliance on experts and their complicated, elaborate knowledge have made our lives parasitic, wasteful, and feeble. Think how much information, skill, and energy we need to satisfy our most basic life functions such as obtaining food, eating food, disposing of remaining food, and getting rid of bodily wastes. We probably use ten thousand times more energy than other mammals on the planet to take care of our basic needs, making our lives feeble and weak.
The moment when we truly become masters of our lives and lead creative and “masterful” lives is when we free ourselves from the compulsive need to learn. When you stop thinking that you need to learn something, that you don’t know something, you will allow the inner light of divine wisdom within you to shine forth brightly, out of which your power of creation will bloom. I have never learned how to play the tapo or the flute. Since I never learned how to play these instruments, I never knew or cared whether I played them correctly or not. The same goes for my audience. Since they have no idea whether I am playing correctly or not, they enjoy listening to the music and rhythms that I enjoy creating. We all get to enjoy the spontaneous joy of creation.
